Window & door manufacturer, Bridgend
Smart Visofold aluminium bifold doors
Precision-made PVCu and aluminium windows and doors
Fabricated at our own factory on VEKA and Smart Systems profiles, for trade customers and homeowners across South Wales.
Made in Bridgend
A manufacturer, not a middleman
K.N.M. Limited has fabricated windows and doors on Village Farm Industrial Estate in Pyle since 1995. Every frame is cut, welded, glazed and hardware-fitted here, on VEKA PVCu and Smart Systems aluminium profiles, by the people you speak to when you call.
Trade customers send sizes and receive written quotations and finished frames. Homeowners ask us to survey, manufacture and install. Both get the same product and the same price all year round: no sales, no special offers, our best price first time.

Customers
In their words
“KNM were recommended to us so I thought I'd visit their office in Pyle to get a quote. I was shown around the factory which looked impressive and well organised - a good start. Their quote was competitive and I got a good feeling so we went with them. We weren't disappointed. Tony and John worked hard, were professional and cleaned up as they went along. We are very pleased with the windows, one of which is 4.9m in width. The windows are of a high quality, sturdy construction and we would definitely recommend KNM, they ticked all the boxes for us.”
“I would just like to say thank you for fabricating our latest job order. The customer was so impressed with the quality, thanks again for speeding it through and delivering on time.”
“Really pleased with our new composite door with side panels and window. The product and workmanship is first class. Nothing was too much trouble for this company. From initial enquiry to installation everything was dealt with in a friendly and professional manner.”
“Exceptional customer service again today. Came out within hours of my call to fix front door lock and help me out of a really difficult situation. I really appreciate the professional attitude, and immediate response. The windows and doors you fitted several years ago still look stunning. Great company.”

Should I choose PVCu or aluminium?
Both are good materials and we make both. PVCu is the more economical choice, has excellent thermal performance from its multi-chamber frame, and suits most houses in white, colour or woodgrain. Aluminium is stronger, so it carries larger panes on slimmer frames, and it is powder coated in any RAL colour. For windows and standard patio doors most homeowners choose PVCu; for bifolding and large sliding doors aluminium is usually the better engineering choice. Our guide on PVCu or aluminium goes into more detail.
Do you install as well as manufacture?
Yes. For homeowners across South Wales we survey, manufacture and install our windows and doors. For trade customers we supply the finished frames for you to fit. If you are unsure which service you need, tell us about the project and we will advise.
How do I get a trade quotation?
Email your sizes and specification to knm_ltd@outlook.com or use the quote form. For each item give the width and height in millimetres, the product and opening configuration, colour inside and out, glass specification and any hardware or cill requirements. We return a written quotation, usually with the configurations drawn so nothing is ambiguous.
What are your lead times?
Lead times depend on the product, colour and the current workload, so we quote them per order. Standard white PVCu is generally quickest; foiled colours and powder-coated aluminium take longer because of the finishing stage. Ask when you request your quotation and we will give you a realistic date.
Bifold or sliding doors: which should I choose?
Bifolds open up almost the whole width of the opening, which is ideal if you want the room and garden to become one space in summer. Sliding doors keep larger panes and slimmer frames, so the view is better when closed, which is most of the year in Wales. Sliding doors also avoid a stack of folded panels. If the opening is wide and tall, or you want the biggest glass, choose sliding; if you want the widest clear opening, choose bifold. Our guide on bifold or sliding doors compares them in detail.
Is a quotation free and without obligation?
Yes. Quotations are free and written, and there is no obligation. We do not run sales or special offers; we give our best price first time, all year round.
