This notice explains what personal information we collect through www.knm-ltd.co.uk, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Enquiry and quotation forms: your name, company name (if any), email address, telephone number, postcode or address, the products you are interested in, your message, measurements and any drawings or photographs you upload.
• Email and telephone contact: the details you give us when you contact us directly.
• Technical data: the IP address and browser type recorded when a form is submitted, used to protect the site from abuse.
• Cookies: see our cookie policy. Analytics cookies are only set if you consent.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and carry out an order: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performance of a contract.
• To keep records of quotations and orders for accounting and guarantee purposes: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
• To protect the website from spam and attack: legitimate interests.
• To send you marketing about our products, only if you have ticked the box asking us to: consent, which you may withdraw at any time by emailing us.
• To measure how the website is used, only if you accept analytics cookies: consent.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. Enquiries are delivered to us by email through our email provider, and the website and its database are hosted by our web hosting provider, both of which process data on our behalf under contract. How long we keep it

Website enquiries are kept in our enquiry system for up to two years from the date received, after which they are deleted automatically. Quotations that become orders are kept with our business records for six years after the end of the financial year in which the work was completed, as required for accounting and to honour guarantees. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Security

Enquiries are stored in a secured database, transmitted over an encrypted connection, and accessible only to staff who need them. Uploaded files are stored outside the public web space.
